Privacy Policy

Tab Nest stores your tab and session data in a private application-data area of your own Google Drive that only Tab Nest can reach — it never appears among your normal Drive files. We don't collect it, we never see it, and it isn't sent to any server we run. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no selling or sharing of your data — there's nothing to sell.
This policy explains how the Tab Nest browser extension ("Tab Nest," "the extension") handles information. Tab Nest is published by Off By 1 LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). It applies to your use of the extension and to the Google account data the extension accesses on your behalf.
Tab Nest lets you save, organize, and restore browser tabs and tab groups. To make your saved tabs available across your devices, Tab Nest can sync that data to your own Google Drive using Google's authorization (OAuth). Drive sync is something you turn on by signing in with your Google account; if you don't connect Drive, your data stays only in your browser.
The information Tab Nest works with is the content you choose to save in it — for example, the page titles and URLs of tabs you store, the names of your tab groups, and your extension settings.
When you enable Drive sync, Tab Nest uses the drive.appdata authorization scope.
This scope lets Tab Nest read and write only to a hidden Application Data folder that Google sets
aside for it in your Drive. Files saved there are not visible in your normal Drive
view, and Tab Nest cannot see, open, or touch any of your other Drive files. The data is
stored within your own Drive storage and remains under your control.
Tab Nest does not request your name, email address, contacts, browsing history, or any other personal information beyond what's described above.
Off By 1 LLC operates no server or backend for Tab Nest. Your saved data moves directly between your browser and your own Google Drive. We do not receive, store, log, or have access to your tab data, your Drive contents, or your Google account credentials. We do not use cookies, analytics SDKs, fingerprinting, or any third-party tracking inside the extension.
Tab Nest's access to information from Google APIs is limited to providing and improving the tab-sync features described above. Tab Nest's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Tab Nest does not:
Because we don't collect your data, we have nothing to share, sell, or disclose. The only party your data is exchanged with is Google, as the provider of the Drive storage you've chosen to sync to, under Google's own Privacy Policy.
Your Tab Nest data persists in your browser and, if sync is enabled, in your Google Drive for as long as you keep it. To remove it:
Data synced to Google Drive is protected by Google's account security and encryption. Data stored locally is protected by your browser and device. Because no copy of your data reaches a server we operate, there is no central store on our side to be breached.
Tab Nest is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we change how Tab Nest handles data, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes that affect how your data is used will be reflected here before they take effect in a published release.
